Lions and other wildlife are viewed from open gypsies with authorised operators. Core jungle routes require a gypsy safari; horses, camels, and elephants are not used for this kind of tourism inside the sanctuary.

Planning
Because of monsoon conditions, the park usually remains closed from 16 June to 15 October each year for jungle trail safaris. Outside these dates, gypsy safaris run subject to weather and official orders.
